Description
Our Organic Sicilian Avocados are mainly Hass type. The smallest type among the varieties but certainly
the best. The peel is rough and thin, the color is from green to light yellow. The product is an excellent
source of antioxidants such as vitamin E.
The Organic Avocado is not allowed to mature on the tree and should not be delivered riped. It should be
matured at home, to enjoy it at the right time. That is why we collect them when it is still bright green and
so it will arrive to your house as soon as it is harvested, full of the sun of Sicily and nutrients of a land
cultivated within organic methods.
Let it mature outside the fridge for a few days. Color will change from green to dark brown and the pulp will
get softer touching. That’s exactly the right moment to eat it! Ripe avocados can be stored in the
refrigerator.
Bacon Avocado has a more delicate taste and is of medium size. The peel is smooth and green when is
harvested. Let it mature out of the fridge: Bacon does not vary its color much, but it becomes a slightly
darker tone and the texture gets only slightly softer to the touch. That’s exactly the right moment to eat it.
Ripe sicilian avocados can be stored in the refrigerator.
